Published formula
Core errands within 1 km 24%, consumer-service breadth within 2 km 14%, pathway reach within 250 m 11%, pathway 90% reach distance 5%, City pedestrian-network density 12%, pedestrian-connection density 9%, nearest scheduled stop 10%, represented routes 7%, mapped crossings 8%.
This is not Walk Score. Service and transit radii are straight-line measures, pathway reach is sampled across the reporting boundary, and the City pedestrian-network layer is not a complete ordinary-sidewalk or accessibility inventory. The score does not model hills, current winter conditions or a route from a specific address.
Evidence used
This is a direct comparison. The current ingredients include core errands within 1 km, consumer-service breadth within 2 km, pathway sampled reach, pathway 90% reach distance, City pedestrian-network and connection density, nearest scheduled GTFS stop, represented scheduled routes, crosswalk and traffic-signal records.
