Housing and change community signal

Current growth and change activity across Calgary communities

Relative current permit, development, land-use and growth-infrastructure activity recorded for the official community boundary.

This page compares one public-data signal at a time. It is a shortlist tool rather than an overall ranking, and every leading record links to a full community profile with the underlying evidence and local context.

Published formula

Latest permit-activity percentile 25%, active building permits per residential parcel 20%, open development applications per residential parcel 20%, current land-use applications per residential parcel 15%, permitted housing-unit density since 2024 10%, mapped growth-infrastructure density 10%.

A higher score means more recorded activity, not better growth, confirmation that construction will proceed, project approval, investment performance or a prediction of how a particular street will change.

Evidence used

This is a interpretive blend. The current ingredients include latest 12-month permit activity, active building permits, open development applications, current land-use applications, permitted housing units since 2024, Suburban Residential Growth policy infrastructure.
