Data sources
Understand which source categories support the neighbourhood pages.
The data-sources page documents the kinds of material that can support CalgaryNeighbourhoods.ca: City of Calgary community profiles, Census of Canada context, municipal open data, transit schedules, parks and recreation sources, school-board sources, planning and land-use references, editorial review, user submissions, business directories, and real-estate market data where permitted.
Not every category applies to every community or every page. The goal is to show readers what kind of evidence belongs behind different claims, and to avoid dressing up a careful local note as a hard statistic.

Why source categories matter
School planning, market behaviour, transit frequency, demographics, public safety, boundaries, and property conditions all require different evidence. A page can discuss a practical question while still making clear which details should be checked through official records or qualified professionals.
How contributions are handled
Community updates, source suggestions, local corrections, and business or association notes can improve the site, but they are reviewed before publication. Personal accusations, private claims, and unsupported safety claims are not treated as publishable neighbourhood information.
